California has its theme parks, but where you can take the kids in California, beyond the usual trip to Disneyland or SeaWorld? Here are three examples of the main outlets for the holidays, or any other time of year, can take the kids along. San Francisco, San Francisco has a lot of attractions for small fish, ranging from theme parks to museums to aquariums to the islands, where you can make great walks and spectacular views of the bay. While many see as San Francisco, a romantic city, the truth is that you can have much more fun when you take along children. Children start by booking a suite, like the one we reserved at the Union Square Hotel in the heart of the city. It is unlikely that you want to see a group of children running through the halls, and teenagers gather in the lobby. This is the most sophisticated hotel that happens to offer some of their homes in a special format that will appeal to families. While parents appreciate the fact that this is a boutique hotel – with all the extras that the term implies, such as brick walls, mosaic murals, warm colors and stylish furniture – individuals who share a Junior Suite with Mom and father is in a special treatment. The suite is actually a huge corner room with high ceiling which is divided into an area of a space for parents and children. A free standing partition also serves as a storage device in which the games, toys, dolls and everything you could wish that their children are ready for use anytime. There is a bed for children, and children is a Mac desktop ready to shoot and play games online. But the piece de resistance is the 47 "HD flat screen TV on the wall with a Wii game system connected – an incredible fun diversion for children and adults. The system allows you to play Wii tennis, baseball or golf and other sports by holding remote controls in their hands and "hitting" the ball with the same physical movements we use in real sport. We have literally spent hours playing these games with our eight years – one of the most unusual and entertaining experiences we've had with our children in a hotel room. When leaving, there are many family activities in the city, especially near Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39: Aquarium of the Bay, an arcade environment and real animals up close, as the sea lions resting on the dock. From here you can take a ferry to Angel Island, an island popular hiking trails where visitors and visiting more than 100 historic buildings. Another major attraction is the practice in the so-called Exploratorium science center, located near the prison in the end of the promenade, near the Golden Gate Bridge. And then there's Golden Gate Park, where there is a playground for children, including a restored carousel, Alcatraz Island, where you can take a self-guided tour of the infamous prison that was closed in 1963 and the San Francisco Zoo , which offers hours of fun for the whole family. Resort at Indio Other "adult" place can be fun for children is the greatest area of Palm Springs. Our most recent trip to the desert, based on a few miles east of Palm Springs, Indio, a quiet neighborhood, but perhaps less extravagant than some parts of the valley. At the eastern end of the valley of the city, this area is undergoing a major transformation, with several new housing developments that have modern, spacious house is located beside the lagoons and canals, five minutes from the motorway. E 'in this same field as a major new resort – Resort in Indio – was built only in recent years. This group of condominium-style buildings include 453 units in total, around what looks like a water theme park full of pools, whirlpools, giant sprinklers for children, ponds, canals and even a man-made river floating in a resource provided by the inner tube. There are a couple of huge pools – the largest is almost 5000 square meters. The resort also includes tennis courts, a basketball court, a recreation center with pool, ping-pong and other games, and a modern fitness training. Given the opportunities for recreation, not surprisingly, the ski resort in Indio is especially popular among families. During our visit on a weekend off-season of hot springs, large family groups and relies heavily on small pools and other facilities. Hundreds of families have been taking advantage of the cover of all the pool chairs and located a few steps from the snack area. Eat meals, many walk the short distance back to their condominium units and fire barbecue available in their decks and patios. As expected, the accommodations are actually holiday homes, not hotel rooms – each unit has a full kitchen, multiple bedrooms, living room and dining room. Since the resort is practically brand new, everything is in perfect shape with the latest equipment, colors and decorations. This is the kind of place where you can resolve in a few days, let the children play and meet other kids and relax. Hand there is a family fun walk as Patton Museum with its tanks of World War II, as well as fire equipment and other memorabilia. There are many excursions in the area in general and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is another adventure of family fun. Guest Ranch Novato our way of thinking, one of the most ideal for family vacations we took when we visited Greenhorn Guest Ranch, about an hour west of Reno, in Plumas County California. Sometimes just knowing when you get home. Within 30 minutes of our arrival at Greenhorn, we are chowing down on Friday night of delicious barbecue, drop-the-ribs, bone with all the fixin's. Farm owners, Trish and Ralph Wilburn, playing their guitars and singing western songs by fire. Soon, the boys of the group were running to get their candy and chocolate, smores to obtain more than anyone. Outside, the city also could have been on the moon – which, incidentally, was beginning to rise to take its place among the twinkling stars visible above the towering dark pines that surrounds the ranch. The Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch is where you will get a healthy heart. Not that the barbecue ribs and steaks and big breakfast of bacon and sausage and biscuits to unblock the arteries. The heart is what we are talking about aid to see the world and how their reactions to it. And "what is sometimes a little" overwhelmed with day to day and forget about the big picture. The overall picture is much brighter, having spent several days with fellow ranch visitors of all ages, shapes and sizes. Some of the Greenhorn visitors to know about horses and may also have their own horses. Others are not sure what bracket to move first. Some are constantly running from one activity to the next farm. Others merely sit in the cab of their porches and breathe the fresh air. Most people ride a horse, sometimes an hour or two each day. The cabins are cozy and eat well in the dining Chuckhouse. Coming the week of Thanksgiving, the meal will probably be very spectacular with a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, and activities, holiday wreath making, and many a cart pulled by wagon to cut your own Christmas tree. Guests should not book all week, you can come just for a night or two to get a taste of this wonderful family experience.
